Oil and Gas Manufacturing Photography — Dril-Quip UK, Singapore, Mexico, Brazil

Halcyon was commissioned to be the multi-site the industrial photographer across four international Dril-Quip (Innovex International) facilities. Delivering a consistent visual record of engineering, manufacturing and offshore supply operations within live oil and gas production environments.

This project involved delivering industrial photography across Dril-Quip’s operations in the UK, Singapore, Mexico and Brazil.

The requirement was to produce a consistent body of imagery that accurately represents how subsea and pressure control equipment is engineered, assembled and delivered across a global network.

The work needed to function as a unified visual library, supporting communication across engineering, manufacturing and offshore-facing teams operating in different regions.

Approach & Operational Reality

Each location operated with a distinct role within the wider system, from engineering and coordination in the UK to regional assembly, logistics and offshore supply support across Singapore, Mexico and Brazil. These differences introduced variation in layout, workflow, workforce scale and production activity.

Access, movement and timing were dictated by live operations at each site. The approach focused on maintaining a consistent visual structure across all locations, ensuring that differences in environment did not break continuity. Work was delivered within active production, adapting to site-specific constraints while retaining alignment in how processes, infrastructure and teams were represented.

Rather than treating each facility as an isolated environment, the coverage was built to show how these operations connect, capturing engineering, manufacturing and supply chain activity as part of a single system supporting offshore oil and gas production.

Outcomes & Use

The final image set was built as a coherent multi-site library, aligned across regions while reflecting the specific function of each location.

  • Engineering and project-facing imagery from UK operations
  • Assembly, logistics and regional support coverage across Singapore
  • Manufacturing and workforce-led production imagery from Mexico
  • Offshore supply chain and production support imagery from Brazil
  • Material suitable for reporting, stakeholder communication and commercial use

The result is a unified body of work that represents Dril-Quip’s global operation as an integrated system, maintaining consistency across geographically distributed environments without fragmentation.
